Balloton Disk Pendant Lamp
Balloton Disk Pendant Lamp
The Balloton Disk is a suspension lamp imagined by Matteo Zorzenoni for MM Lampadari. It is inspired by one of the oldest Venetian glass-blowing techniques and reinterprets it in this evocative collection of metal lamps.
Made of two encased elements, the top element is in iron with a polished copper finish, while the bottom element is in hand-blown glass. Its simple design, with its minimalist hand-forged metal structure with a polished copper finish, allows the light to filter through the texture of the Murano glass balloon "disk" shade.
The "balloton" name depicts the typical pattern in the art of blown glass, made of multitude of diamonds, each reflecting the light in a different direction, creating a light mosaic. It is a beautiful lighting translation of the technique of blown glass.
With their basic shapes, the three versions are appreciated both singularly and in big compositions as a big chandelier. Whether individually or in a cloud with many, the Balloton Disk brings its soft elegance to any interior.
