Balloton Pendant Lamp (Pill)
Balloton Pendant Lamp (Pill)
The Balloton Pill is a suspension lamp imagined by Matteo Zorzenoni for MM Lampadari. It is inspired by one of the oldest Venetian glass-blowing techniques and reinterprets it in this evocative collection of metal lamps. Shaped in the form of a stylized tablet, made of two encased elements, the top element is in iron with a polished copper finish, while the bottom element is in hand-blown glass.
The "balloton" name depicts the typical pattern in the art of blown glass, made of multitude of diamonds, each reflecting the light in a different direction, creating a light mosaic. It is a beautiful lighting translation of the technique of blown glass.
With their basic shapes, the three versions are appreciated both singularly and in big compositions as a big chandelier. Whether individually or in a cloud with many, the Balloton Pill brings its soft elegance to any interior.
